Boxing Tragedy: Rashad Al-Swaisat Dies After KO in World Youth Championships

Rashad Al-Swaisat, 18 years old, loses his battle 11 days after suffering from brain injury in ring at the World Youth Championships

Breaking News: A tragedy in the boxing world occurred recently with the passing of boxer Rashad Al-Swaisat, who was knocked out while competing in the World Youth Championship in Poland 11 days ago. 
Rashad was knocked out in the 3rd round of his light heavyweight bout. After being found nonresponsive, he was rushed to the hospital in Kielce, suffering from a traumatic brain injury. 
Despite efforts to save his life, which included brain surgery, he still passed away. 
The Jordanian was just 18 years old. The Jordanian Olympic Committee, Asian Boxing Confederation as well as Brawlers Sports offer the sincerest condolences to Rashad’s family, friends and other loved ones.
