Breaking Boxing News: Former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has released long time trainer, former Olympian Gold Medalist and Welterweight Champion of the world Mark Breland. As you all know Wilder suffered a vicious beat down by the hands of British Heavyweight Tyson Fury back in Feb of this year. We also remember Breland saving his fighter by throwing in the towel to safe guard and protect Wilder from sustaining any serious damage or maybe even death in the ring.
Wilder has yet to release a detailed statement explaining how and why he has come to this cross roads in his career. Wilder held the WBC Heavyweight title and was reigning champ for the last 5 years. This could be a critical mistake to fire the likes of Breland right before their Trilogy match up on Dec 19, however it has been noted that Top Rank CEO Bob Arum is seeking another date due the NFL schedule which will cause conflicting.
This is very shocking because Wilder, after assessing everything after the rematch, had forgiven trainer Breland and the team had moved on. In my opinion this is definitely the wrong move, but Wilder obviously feels differently. Until the Trilogy happens.
