BREAKING NEWS: Joey Spencer Thunders to Easy Win in 8 Over James Martin

Article by Rick Mohamed

Super welterweight upcoming star Joey Spencer outfought, outboxed & did enough to take the unanimous decision (79-73 (2X),80-72) over a disappointing James Martin, who was a last minute opponent for Spencer after Martiin came in overweight in his rematch vs. Vito Mielnicki. Mielnicki then decided to fight Noah Kidd on the same night on FOX PBC Fight Night LIVE @Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.. Spencer was originally slated to fight Dan Karpency, but Karpency opted out of the fight, clearing the way for Martin. This is another step up for Spencer and a step back for Martin, who upset Mielnicki earlier this year. Spencer remains undefeated, looking to fight some of the bigger name opponents in the 154 lb. division.

GMONEY
My name is Giovanti Mohamed. I am 27 years old. I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. My dad Ricardo Mohamed started teaching me the basics of boxing when I was around 3 years old, and I have loved the sport ever since. As a kid I grew up around both World champions and great trainers. I competed in several Golden gloves tournaments throughout my younger years, and competed in different states for amateur boxing events. I was set to turn Professional in 2014 but unfortunately, months before my Pro debut I was diagnosed with severe Arthritis which ended my pursuit of becoming a world champion. My love for boxing has never left, and I look forward to giving great analysis on all the boxing matches to come.
