Eimantas Stanionis Hands Thomas Dulorme a Crushing Loss at Mohegan Sun!

Article by Rick Mohamed

Eimantas Stanionis moves closer to a title shot in the 147-lb. division with impressive win.

Eimantas Stanionis showed that he is one tough customer in the welterweight division as he handed Thomas Dulorme another loss to his record, winning a solid unanimous decision (UD) at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT.
Stanionis, now 13-0, 9 KOs, had a perfect, snappy, & powerful jab. He cut the ring off beautifully to control the tempo of the fight, maintaining good poise throughout.
Dulorme, who’s record dropped to 25-5-1, 16 KOs, put up a good fight, letting his hands go with great movement. The Puerto Rican had much success vs Stanionis, but Stanionis was the better fighter this night.
Stanionis did what he had to do in order to get the victory! Stanionis was making his Showtime TV debut, and his countrymen were able to watch him all the way from their home country, Lithuaniania. Stanionis worked the body well, then brought power shots back up top that rocked Dulorme several times in the fight.
In the that last round, Stanionis gave his best shot to try and stop Dulorme, but Dulorme weathered the storm. Stanionis, at 26 will do well in the welterweight division in the future.
I can see him getting a fight with Danny Garcia, who he will have no problem defeating. It will be interesting to see where Stanionis goes in the division. Congrats to “ Team Stanionis” LETSGOCHAMP.
