Joey Spencer Silences Isiah Seldon in Round 1.

Article by Rick Mohamed

Spencer needed only 1 round to KO Bruce’s son

Joey Spencer came out from the bell laying his punches clean on Isiah Seldon (son of storied fighter Bruce Seldon) and was very technical in the ring. It was obvious that these two fighters had bad blood. It was most likely from an exchanging of words leading up to fight night.
Spencer dropped Seldon in the first round with a straight right hand. Seldon took the 8 count, then continued to fight and attack Spencer with multiple vicious behind the head shots (a no no in boxing). This caused Seldon to have 2 points deducted for that foul.
The fight continued, with Seldon getting dropped again. During the count as he rose up to his feet, he was wobbling and not totally coherent as to where he was. This finally forced the referee’s hand to stop this contest. Unfortunately,
Seldon displayed poor sportsmanship after getting beaten up.
Spencer proved he belongs in this sport with an explosive performance. This is how you show up and show out. I truly believe Spencer has a very promising career ahead of him. Congrats to “Team Spencer “.
