Article by Rick Mohamed
Ok boxing fans, Terrance “BUD” Crawford (36-0, 27 KOs) is set to take on Sheffield England’s Kell Brook (39-2, 27 KOs) for the Welterweight Championship on Nov 14 2020! Top Rank Promotion’s CEO Bob Arum says he is fighting to keep this fight off of PPV so that the fans can view it for free (well, ESPN) it you will.
Of course, that decision will have to be made in the terms sheet that will be presented to both fighters and their handlers, which is Bob Arum for Crawford and “SIR” Eddie Hearn, who promotes Brook. This will be by far Crawford’s biggest test yet in the 147lB div in my opinion. Keep in mind: Brook had some good fortune early vs Errol Spence and appeared to be giving Spence a boxing clinic before getting caught in the eye when they met.
The venue is currently set for Las Vegas, but still, the terms are most likely still in the negotiation stages.
This is definitely another big fight for boxing and what better way to end the year with the best fights money can buy. I’m excited and hope that you guys are just as excited too. Bud needs to prevail, and Brook needs to have the ultimate fight plan in place if he expects to be successful on Nov 14 2020. This is “GREAT NEWS”!.
