Therefore, the highly anticipated Dec 5 fight between Luke Campbell and Ryan Garcia for Garcia’s title is postponed. No new date has yet been announced. Luke Campbell says that he’s feeling fine, but will have to undergo a period where he can recuperate from the Covid disease. Ryan Garcia tweeted his best wishes to his opponent.

Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn, the fight’s promoter, was hopeful that, after the required 14-day quarantine period, Campbell be able to resume training. Then the fight could be set as early as Dec 19, only 2 weeks after the originally scheduled date. We here at Brawlers Sports Media wish Luke Campbell a speedy recovery and hope the fight can then take place ASAP. This has been the year of years! Come on, 2021!
