Rolando Rolly Romero wasted no time in dispatching his opponent, an overweight and overmatched Anthony Yigit. He sent Yigit to the canvas at the end of the 5th, after he was deducted a point by the referee for roughhouse tactics. Rolly then closed him out in the 7th with 2 more knockdowns, retaining his WBA Interim Lightweight title-which wasn’t up for grabs due to Yigit weighing in at a plump 140, a full 5 lbs. over the 135 weight limit. This was the Co-Main Event at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX.
