Courtney King Penn Pennington, a Brawlers Sports Management fighter, overcame a 2nd round knockdown and rose to defeat Greg Vanetti by an 8-round unanimous decision on October 6, 2022 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C.. After rising from the knockdown, “King Penn” outfought Vannetti in the final 6 rounds en route to the decisive victory.

The super-welterweight 36-year old Brooklyn, NY native now boasts a record of 16-5-3 with 7 KOs. CEO & manager Rick Mohamed was quite impressed with the gutty performance. The victory puts Pennington back on the winning track after a May 5, 2022 KO loss to Vladimir Panin at the Long Beach, CA Convention Center.

The hard-charging Pennington will be looking to fight his next bout soon, as he is a very busy man. He fought 3 bouts in 2022, after having only fought once during the pandemic health crisis. Prior to this, he fought 3 times in 2019. Things are looking up for the King!
