LOWDOWN & DIRTY MILE HIGH STYLE: Manny Lopez Dominant in Return

Manny Lopez

Article by Rick Mohamed

Manny Lopez completed his comeback to the boxing ring in grand style. He defeated an overmatched Roy McGill by 4th round TKO at Magness Arena at the University of Denver in Denver, CO. on Saturday, January 29.

Lopez (15-4, 8 KOs) got low in on Roy McGill’s (6-7, 3 KOs) body and broke his opponent down. Lopez, in my own personal opinion, showed no ring rust whatsoever.

He went to work from the opening bell, establishing his jab out the gate. His fight plan was on point, and at no time did he ever deviate.

This is why he had mad success this night. Lopez’ coaches Jake and John John did an excellent job from day one in camp all the way to last night. You could see they had Lopez well prepared for battle.

“L’il” Manny, Lopez’ young son, helped out by screaming instructions to his Dad from the audience. It seems that he listened. Congrats “Team Brawlers” & “Team Lopez”
