BREAKING NEWS: SHOCK! BRAZIL'S HEBERT SOUSA WINS GOLD ON 11TH HOUR KO!

Article by Rick Mohamed

Tokyo, Japan (August 7, 2021) Brazilian middleweight Olympic boxer Hebert Sousa was losing his gold medal match with Ukraine’s Oleksandr Khyzniak after 2 rounds, 20-18 on the next to last day of the Tokyo Olympics. All he had to do in the 3rd and final round was to keep up the pace and coast to an easy gold medal victory.

Khyzniak (Keez-nyak) was well on his way to becoming only the 5th-ever Ukrainian Olympic boxing gold medalist. Sousa had a different plan, however.

Knowing he needed a KO to win the match, he unleashes a counter left hook to the chin of the Ukrainian, and down he went! In a shocking turn of events, Hebert Sousa won the gold for his country Brazil- becoming only the 2nd Olympic boxer ever to do so.

Tokyo time is earlier than Brazil, and many in Brazil were asleep during the match, so they’ll be shocked when hearing this incredible news upon waking. They’ll be dancing in the streets for their middleweight gold medalist, Hebert Sousa.

Brazil, stand up, dance like crazy & cheer! Congrats to Team Brazil & Hebert Conceicao (Kon-Say-Sow) Sousa!
