BREAKING NEWS: Tyson Fury Throws Chair @ Handicapped Kid, Detained by Las Vegas Police, Fury vs Wilder 3, Set for Oct. 9th, is in Doubt!

Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3, set for Oct 9th @ T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, is now in serious doubt after Fury was detained by Las Vegas police after he threw a beach chair at an apparently handicapped Make a Wish child.

Many have felt all along that Fury would be willing to do anything to get out of fighting Wilder for the 3rd time. Wilder, the former champion is nothing if not super-serious in his quest to regain the WBC heavyweight championship belt he’d held from 2015 until his loss to Fury in their rematch in February 2020.

That was Wilder’s very first professional loss.

Fury thoroughly dominated Wilder in that fight, finally KO’ing him in the 8th round. Wilder claimed that Fury had cheated-yet he was unable to prove it.

This came on the heels of the first fight in 2019, which ended in a draw-though many felt Fury had outpointed Wilder, who salvaged the draw with 2 knockdowns. The 2nd knockdown, many felt, had a very long count which seemingly allowed Fury to recover and survive.

Whatever the claims, this fight was meant to settle all doubts and reservations of who really is the heavyweight champion who would take on the other champion, Anthony Joshua, for the IBF, WBA & WBO belts and finally unify the heavyweight title. It hasn’t been unified since Lennox Lewis held al the titles back in the early 2000s.

The trilogy fight was originally set for July 24th, but Fury, along with other members of his camp, tested positive for Covid shortly before the date, postponing the fight. Detractors fel that Fury actually doesn’t want to face Wilder, saying that Wilder is going to “destroy” Fury.

We may never know, for this fight may be cancelled due to this event. Stay tuned.
