IT’S ON: JOSH TAYLOR WILL PIT HIS UNDISPUTED JUNIOR WELTERWEIGHT TITLE VS. JACK CATTERALL MOST LIKELY ON DEC 18 SSE HYDRO IN GLASGOW SCOTLAND LIVE ON ESPN
Undisputed junior welterweight king Josh Taylor, fresh off his impressive defeat of Jose Ramirez to claim all 4 championship belts, returns to the ring later this year vs. Jack Catterall.
ESPN reports that Taylor, (18-0, 13 KOs), will fight in his native Scotland, in Glasgow at the SSE Hydro. Taylor moved onto the P2P list of boxing’s best with his win over Ramirez, and will be looking to thoroughly impress his countrymen and make them proud.
Catterall, for his part, has been very patient: he was the WBO’s mandatory challenger prior to the Taylor vs Ramirez unification bout, but he stepped aside, having been promised first crack at the champion. “I have been very patient, and it’s been a long time coming, but I will be getting my crack”, he told ESPN back in May.
His patience will be rewarded, and it will be the biggest fight so far for the Englishman Catterall (26-0, 13 KOs). Details and undercard are forthcoming. Brawlers Sports will report all new developments as they happen.
