Chris Arreola's Trainer Coach Henry Ramirez: Run it Back, Andy Ruiz! | Podcast

Article by Rick Mohamed

Chris Arreola deserves a 2nd shot at Andy Ruiz Jr., says Arreola’s trainer Coach Henry Ramirez

Chris “The Nightmare” Arreola only won 1-2 rounds in his May 1 fight vs. Andy Ruiz Jr., according to the judges’ scorecards. The scores were 118-109, 118-109 and 117-110. Arreola’s trainer Coach Henry Ramirez disputes that.
In the Brawlers Sports Boxing Show Podcast with CEO Rick & GMoney, he said that Ruiz won the fight, but not by much, maybe a round.
It was much closer, Coach felt. As a result, after the fight, Arreola requested that he and Ruiz “run it back”, meaning fight again, give me a rematch. Ruiz agreed in a post-fight interview.
All that remains is to set the date and sign the contract. However, Ruiz may want to first pursue his reentry into the heavyweight championship conversation.
“He (Ruiz) is one of the top 3 heavyweights in the world, after Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua,” said Coach Henry. Arreola, currently on vacation in Hawaii, is exploring his options, and retirement, while an option, is something Ramirez doubts.
“I told him, ‘Chris, you might have lost the fight, but you won the night'”, says Ramirez. That doesn’t sound like a fighter getting ready to retire.
