Dillian Whyte's 4th RD TKO Over Alexander Povetkin in Rematch is Pure Vindication.

Dillian Whyte leaves nothing to chance, TKOs Alexander Povetkin in 4th to get revenge

Dillian Whyte came to fight tonight and started at a great pace from the opening bell. He’d lost weight and came in much slimmer than his first meeting vs Alexander Povetkin in August 2020. Whyte caught Povetkin with straight rights hands, left hooks, and stiff jabs all night.
Povetkin caught Whyte with a few good shots himself, although Whyte proved to be the better man, if you will.
Whyte picked up where he left off in the first fight before being stopped by Povetkin. In the first fight, Whyte knocked Povetkin down 2 times in the 4th round, but was unable to finish him off. This allowed Povetkin to recover in the 5th round and knock Whyte out for the victory.

However, Whyte left nothing to chance this time. He pummeled Povetkin again in the 4th round with jabs that set up his battering overhead rights that put Povetkin down.
Hard.
He got up and beat the count, but was wobbly-legged and unable to continue. His corner saw he was in distress and threw in the towel for good measure. It was wise to do that: live to fight another day, that’s the golden rule.
Whyte’s performance regained the WBC interim heavyweight championship for him. It puts him back in the mix for a major title fight! I’m hoping that the WBC makes him the mandatory for the winner of Fury Vs Joshua, which will set Whyte up for a big pay check.
The Pandemic pushed this fight back so many times as both these guys left their families for 10-12 week camps. On top of this, to have the fight postponed took a mental toll on these fighters. Congrats to Team Whyte! Let’s see what’s next for Dillian Whyte. Well boxing fans, that’s it for tonight. Until next time. LETSGOCHAMPS.
