Adrien “The Problem” Broner: He's Put His Problems Behind Him.

Article by Rick Mohamed

Former WBA Super light weight champion Adrien Broner, 33-4-1 with 24 KO’s, has announced they he is returning to the ring on FEB 13 2021 Vs Pedro Campa, who is 31-1-1 with 21 KO’s. Broner speaks out stating he has been suffering from a bad case of depression as well as alcoholism! This may explain it all as to what type of behavior we all have witnessed from the former World Champion.
This takes a bigger man than a Champion to come forth and share this with the general public. To the fan base that follows AB, if you don’t know anybody that suffers from depression in the past, present, or future it’s not a good look for anyone going through this. Many try to standup to the disease and pacify it with either drugs and or alcohol or both in most cases.
I commend AB for his courage and stepping up to the plate apologizing for all his short comings and mishaps that he has displayed in and outside of the ring. People don’t understand that the (2) diseases the champ was suffering from are very life threatening.
The Champ has said that he has been sober for the last 2 months and counting. It takes a bigger person to seek help and receive treatment from the professionals to help get their lives back in to some type of order and contro,l if you will.
I honestly believe that we may see the best of AB starting in his comeback back fight next month 13 FEB 2021! AB has not fought in the last 2 years. AB’s last fight was the loss he suffered from Manny Pac-Man Pacquiao on Jan 19 2019.
Broner says he has been in the gym working hard and dropping the many pounds that he had picked up over the 2 year layoff. These were his struggles dealing with everything in his life. I believe come February 13, AB will display to us all the old AB when he first hit the boxing scene as the next superstar.
We at Brawlers are happy for the Champ’s recovery and putting his life and well being into perspective. We can’t wait to see him back in action on February 13. Good luck AB!
