Brawlers Sports CEO Rick Mohamed and In the Ring w/Al Jones host Al Jones are in the building for the scintillating return of former heavyweight king Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder, on the comeback trail vs Finland’s Robert Helenius. Former IBF super middleweight champion Caleb Plant takes on former 2X WBC champion Anthony Dirrell in the Co-Main Event.

Brawlers Sports CEO Rick Mohamed and Al Jones of the radio broadcast In the Ring w/Al Jones are at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, NY for Sat. Oct. 15’s Deontay Wilder vs. Robert Helenius/Caleb Plant vs Anthony Dirrell fight card.

CEO Rick has been a frequent contributor as of late to Al Jones’ broadcast, originating from Cleveland OH’s WERE AM 1490 radio station. You can listen to it every Tuesday LIVE at 5-6 pm EST/4-5 pm CST by clicking this link.

Prior to the fight, the parties held the press conference, the very last word from the fighters before the event.

The Co-Main Event features 2 former super middleweight champions eager to return to championship form and get a belt: Caleb Plant vs Anthony Dirrell. Plant lost his IBF title a year ago to Canelo Alvarez, who succeeded in his goal to unify the super middleweight titles. Anthony Dirrell is a former 2-time WBC super middleweight champion who feels that Plant is taking him lightly and looking past him in the hope for a future title shot.

The Main Event features former WBC Heavyweight champion Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder vs Robert Helenius.

Helenius is a well-respected fighter from Finland who is looking to bemoe his country’s 1st-ever champion. A former Wilder sparring partner, he has the former champion’s respect. Will he be avle to take him as well?

Wilder is ready to overcome his last 2 fights, KO losses to his nemesis and current WBC champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury. Robert Helenius is the first roadblock that stands in his way. CEO Rick believes that a fight vs. another former heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, may be in his future.

Another possibility is vs the other heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk. Usyk defeated Joshua twice and took home the WBA, WBO, & IBF belts. Usyk was unable to negotiate a unification bout with Fury, while negotiations for an All-UK AJ vs Fury battle have stalled.

Reports gave stated that Usyk will be in the building for this fight. The fireworks may continue even after the final bell has sounded!
