Chicago’s Own Shawndell Winters Couldn’t Hold On in Today’s Fight on DAZN vs Alen Babic

Article by Rick Mohamed

Chicago’s own Shawndell Winters always takes the fight nobody else wants! What can you say: this guy has heart and a lot of guts to stand in there with yet another opponent that was just the bigger man.

Alen Babic of Croatia came out from the bell of the first round on the attack on Winters. As he stated in their press conference the other day leading up to the fight “…if Winters beats me I will quit boxing!”

Keep in mind: Babic may have only been 3-0 as a pro coming into this fight but only had 27 Amateur fights and finished with an Amateur record of 17-10. Also, Babic is Dillian Whyte sparring partner.

Winters never came to lay down and just give up, he’s to got to be the most gutsy fighter ever, with no quit, no pain and he never complains. However, it may be time for Winters to have that discussion of hanging up the gloves moving forward with his team. Winters turns 40 in November this year. Until next time, boxing fans LETSGOCHAMPS.
