Congratulations to “TEAM BENAVIDEZ “ on last nights performance! David Benavidez dominated and beat Alexis Angulo up all night at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT.. Benavidez continued to walk Angulo down with successful body shots and powerful uppercuts.

It was obvious that Benavidez was the bigger of the 2 fighters – no doubt. Benavidez lost his title to the scale as he weighed in over the agreed upon contractual weight set at 168 LBS! I would love to see Benavidez move up to 175 and fight Sergey Kovalev in a light Heavyweight championship Show Down, which I believe Benavidez would have much success in getting the Win.

I don’t know exactly how he feels about not having his strap anymore, but I’m sure he has a plan moving forward. I feel that all fighters should be professional and adhere to the contract like all fighters and do what is needed to do to make the weight, or seek help in hiring maybe a nutritionist and or dietician to assist and oversee that they are losing the weight correctly without jeopardizing their health on fight night. This is all about being a Professional.
