Mikey Garcia says he has been laying low due to the Pandemic since beating Jesse Vargas back in February. He states his brother Robert Garcia has been in the gym faithfully with his up and coming prospects. Mikey says he has not been in the gym because he didn’t want to take any risk of possibly infecting those fighters who he wants to have fights and not have to cancel because they have tested positive for COVID19. 

Garcia says he watched the Loma Vs Lopez fight and won some money. He bet on Teofimo Lopez after studying the key factors that Lopez possessed to win. Mikey also says he and his team do still have a big interest in facing Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao at some point. 

When asked about the upcoming Devin Haney vs Yuriorkis Gamboa, he stated this is how you bring a fighter up properly and gradually put a test fight in front of them. Gamboa looked pretty good against Gervonta “Tank Davis his last outing, if you will. Mikey has a younger, hungry, and faster Haney winning that fight.
