Nikita Abably's Masterful Performance vs. Brandon Maddox.

Article by Rick Mohamed

Nikita Abably put on a great performance last night Vs Brandon Maddox at the Seminole Hardrock Casino in Hollywood, Florida on the Daniel Jacobs vs Gabriel Rosado undercard.
Maddox had good success for most of the night until he started fading from fatigue. Until he began to tire, he was jabbing well, catching Nakita with some solid over cross right hands. Were he better conditioned for this fight, given more prep time, things might’ve been very different. Today’s Covid pause-ready environment may have hindered Maddox from performing at his best.
White Chocolate (Abably) was like a technician in the ring last night. He attacked Maddox’ body, threw beautiful jabs all night and a laser guided right hand in addition. This fight was at a catch weight of 162 LBS in between Middleweight and Super Middleweight.
Nikita hasn’t been able to come away with a KO in his last 3 fights out. He stated that he would like to go down to the Super Welterweight div at 154LBS.
Both fighters exchanged jabs and solid right hands most of the night, until Nikita hit Maddox very low 30 seconds into the 4th round. Fans must understand: this may have helped Maddox fade towards the end of the last 2 rounds if you will. It may have taken away his “ZING”. This ‘will take ya legs away’ as well as your punching power. Low blows leave one feeling quite drained and sore.
White Chocolate advanced his professional record to 9-0.
I believe Maddox can bounce back from this loss, because he displayed good boxing kills, plus he has the perfect frame. Hopefully, the Motor City fighter can get into and master his jab by working on a full time basis. He should have access to everything he needs in order to successfully prepare for upcoming fights.
Well that’s it, boxing fans for now. Remember: we at Brawlers welcome your comments.
