Terence Bud Crawford Closing Deal to Fight...Manny Pacquiao?

Article by Rick Mohamed

Terence Bud Crawford is going to sign a major fight deal this week, according to promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank-is it Manny Pacquiao?

Terence Bud Crawford is finalizing a deal to fight sometime in the late spring/early summer, according to his promoter, Bob Arum, CEO of Top Rank Promotions. Arum said that the announcement is forthcoming in a matter of days, and that it would be a major announcement involving Bud Crawford.
Bud has publicly stated his open dissatisfaction with the direction Arum and Top Ran have chosen for his career. Arum had said that his company loses money whenever it promotes a Crawford fight.
Bud responded by saying if Arum is not happy with him, just let him go elsewhere.
Crawford (37-0, 28 KOs) is arguably the best fighter in the world pound for pound (P4P), and he should get top dollar whenever he fights. However, he isn’t, and reported negotiations for a blockbuster fight with Errol Spence Jr. have broken off, possibly due to Bud’s apparent inability to draw top dollar.
The biggest question is who is Bud going to fight? Spence may not be an option, but he may have changed his mind and come back to the table to make the deal. Most insiders are saying that the mystery fighter who’ll next fight Bud is none other than Manny Pac Man Pacquiao (62-7-2, 39 KOs).
A Bud vs. Pacquiao fight should sell a ton of tickets, and finally get Bud the payday he’s long coveted. This fight also gives Bud an opportunity to prove himself as one of, if not the very best, in boxing today.
Pacquiao is widely considered an all-time great fighter, and some see him as the best ever.
Originally, Bud wanted to fight Spence, but that seems to have broken down. However, a Bud win over Pac Man in this fight gives him added leverage in a new round of possible negotiations with the Spence camp. It also cements his place as a great fighter now and evermore.
Time is ticking for Bud. His last fight, a Nov. 14, 2020 4th round TKO of Britain’s Kell Brook was an awesome display. He’s 33, so how many great fights does he still have left in him? Let’s hear wat you have to say, Brawlers fans. LETSGOCHAMP! #THEBRAWLERSSPORTSBOXINGSHOW
