The legendary Roman “CHOCOLATITO” Gonzalez, put on a great performance tonight in Mexico City on DAZN. The champ stood his ground and showed why he is considered to be a legend of the sport. 

Chocolatito let his hands go all night with continuous pressure on Israel Gonzalez. He employed great counter-punching and constantly walked Israel back all night. Chocolatito showed he was in total control. 
Let’s not take anything from the up and coming Israel Gonzalez: he is definitely the future of boxing. He’s a real tough kid, plus he stayed in there and took his shots as well as delivered some good shots on Chocolatito. 
Both fighters delivered a great fight tonight. I thought it was very entertaining. It was definitely the teacher vs the student. Israel has nothing to be ashamed of this fight. It’s merely a learning curve for him. I’m sure he will bounce back from this loss with no problems. After all, he did bang tough Vs a legend, so this should give him that much more motivation and confidence for his next fight. 
Chocolatito retains his WBA title tonight and in good fashion. Congrats to “Team Chocolatito”.
