Charles Conwell kicked off the undercard of the Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley Fight Night @ Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, OH. by stopping his opponent, super welterweight Juan Carlos Rubio by TKO in the 3rd round pf a scheduled 10 round match. He knocked Rubio down in the 2nd, but Rubio survived for one more round.

That’s when Conwell lowered the boom, forcing referee Lonnie Scott to end the fight.

Conwell improves his record to 16-0, 12 KOs. Rubio’s record falls to 18-1, 9 KOs. He suffered his very first pro loss-early by KO, so he’ll have to regroup and work his way back to near-prominence.

Conwell puts himself higher up on the list of the top super welterweights, putting himself in position to earn a title shot in the near future. Congrats to Team Conwell! You worked it out, dude!
