Daniel Dubois

Daniel Dubois, eager to get back on the comeback trail, inched closer to bigger fights with a 1 round destruction of fellow heavyweight Juiseppe Angelo Cusumano. The fight was part of the undercard of the Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley match @ Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, OH..

While the victory was quite impressive, Dubois is going to have to show more if he’s to get in the rings with the likes of heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. He’ll need tougher opponents to prove himself worthy of the fight. However, he improve hos record to 17-1, 16 KOs, while Cusumano, whose name lasts longer than he did in this fight, goes to 19-4, 17 KOs.

The fight lasted only 2:10.

Earlier in the week, the WBA vacated all its interim champions, naming all of their upcoming fights elimination bouts-the winner will be the mandatory fight vs. the champion for the regular WBA title. Dubois was the WBA interim heavyweight champion, so he may get a fight vs. WBA champion Anthony Joshua. Sounds interesting. Cheers to Team Dubois!
