BREAKING NEWS: Tommy Fury UDs Anthony Taylor -Is Jake Paul Next?

Tommy Fury

Article by Rick Mohamed

Tommy Fury, the younger half brother of heavyweight champ Tyson Fury, won a not-so-thrilling unanimous decision victory over Anthony Taylor on the undercard of the Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley fight @ Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, OH..

All 3 judges scored the light heavyweight fight 40-36 in favor of Fury, who wanted to show that he was ready for a match vs. Jake Paul. It appears his performance wasn’t strong enough to warrant that.

If it was an audition, he didn’t do enough to force Paul to give him a chance to make the big money that Paul’s fights attract. Fury will have to become far more aggressive and stop being so defensive minded, focusing more on being destructive than being elusive.

People want an exciting fight; Fury may not be able to deliver that. Still, Fury raised his record to 7-0, 4 KOs. Taylor drops to 0-2. Is it enough for a Paul vs Fury showdown? Both last names carry considerable weight in the world of boxing. Time will tell. Congrats to Team Fury!
