Oscar De La Hoya doesn’t need the money, the fame, nor the acclaim. He already has that. However, he is making a grand return to the ring on Sept. 11, 2021 vs. light heavyweight Vitor Belfort LIVE on Triller pay per view @ Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.
“The Golden Boy” is a boxing legend who last fought in 2009, a loss to Manny Pacquiao, at the age of 35. During his long, illustrious career, he defeated Hector Camacho Sr., Julio Cesar Chavez, Arturo Gatti & won Olympic gold in 1992.
He is now 48, the head of a very successful promotion company, Golden Boy Promotions, which boasts several world champions and top contenders, such as Ryan Garcia.
No one knows actually why he’s returning to the ring, especially after his great success after leaving the ring as a fighter. Now he returns as a light heavyweight to take on Vitor Belfort. who at 44 is the odds on favorite to defeat the former champion. Nelfort is a UFC MMA legend who moves into the sport of boxing, not unlike fellow former MMA star Tyron Woodley, who fought YouTube Content Creator Jake Paul this past August 29th.
