THE UNDISPUTED UNDEFEATED PRINCE OF THE LIGHTWEIGHTS IS BACK: TEOFIMO LOPEZ VS. GEORGE KAMBOSOS JR. ON JUNE 19 @ lOANDEPOT PARK IN MIAMI, FL ON TRILLER’S FIGHT CLUB.
The whirlwind returns: Teofimo Lopez, the newly-anointed lightweight Prince, is back in action. This time, he faces Australia’s George Kambosos Jr. after defeating Vasily “Loma” Lomachenko for all of the lightweight belts, Lopez is putting it all on the line, giving Kambosos the chance of a lifetime.
All he has to do is defeat Lopez and pull off one of the greatest upsets in boxing. He’s eager and willing, but Lopez is super-tough and battle-ready. Though only 23 with a record of 16-0, 12 KOs, Lopez is No. 5 on ESPN’s list of Top 10 P4P fighters worldwide.
Kambosos is no slouch, though: sporting an impressive 19-0 record, with 10 KOs. He’s the IBF mandatory challenger, and is quite hungry.
The fight will take place on June 19, 2021 in loanDepot Park in Miami, Fl. It will be aired on Triller as part of the Triller Fight Club. Interestingly, this match is the very first big “reaL” match ever aired on Triller. Previously it only aired exhibition fights such a Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. and Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren.
