Vasily “Loma”Lomachenko (14-2, 10 KOs), after his devastating loss to Teofimo Lopez for all 3 of Loma’s lightweight titles, had surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder. 

Many thought his injury claim was simply an excuse, or sour grapes.

However, the 33-year old warrior makes his return on June 26, 2021 vs. one of the hottest names in boxing today: Japan’s Masayoshi Nakatani (19-1, 13 KOs).

This comeback battle takes place @ The Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, NV.. The fight will be aired LIVE on ESPN+.

The history of these fighters has some similarities: both have lost to Lopez by decision, are highly ranked, and both are looking to get another title shot, preferably vs. Lopez.
