Julio Cesar Chavez Jr may have come to a crossroads this past Friday night as he lost badly to 10-0 up and coming prospect Mario Cazares. Cazares beat Chavez handily, improving his professional record to 11-0.
Is this another case of iconic legendary superstars’ seed not upholding their legendary name in the ring? We all know the heart and the great champion that Chavez Sr was!
Yet his son shows that lots discipline needs to be instilled in him. We must not forget how he failed to answer the bell Vs Daniel The Miracle Man Jacobs back last December. Chavez Jr would always come to the weigh-in way over the contractual weight agreement and would have to forfeit a percentage of his purse.
It appears he came into this fight unprepared and may have taken Cazares too lightly and as an end result he picked up another loss. I believe the end has come for Chavez Jr’s boxing career. There is nothing to do at this point but walk away and go enjoy the life that you want to live, because being a World Champ like ya dad is not what you want in life. Chavez Jr is currently 34 years old.
