A Memorial Day weekend slobber knocker is on tap, as WBC lightweight champion Devin “The Dream” Haney (25-0, 18 KOs) puts his title on the line vs. Jorge “El Nino De Oro” Linares (47-5, 29 KOs). The fight will be held at the Michelob Ultra Arena at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV LIVE on May 29, 2021 on DAZN.
The 22-year old champion last fought in November 2020, where he defeated Yuriorkis Gamboa. Linares, a former WBC lightweight champion, is looking to regain the title he lost after a 4-year reign to Vasily Lomachenko back in 2018.
