Article by Rick Mohamed
Brawlers Sports Media interviewed superstar up and coming top prospect in the welterweight Rashidi “Speedy” Ellis on the Brawlers Sports Boxing show. Ellis spoke about fighting the best in his division. He also said he wants the winner of the Spence Vs Garcia fight come Dec 5 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington TX..
Ellis, who is 23-0 with 14 KO’s says he would considered fighting Shawn Porter if he had to in order to get to Errol Spence or Terrance “Bud” Crawford for his shot. Brawlers asked Ellis was he done for the year 2020 or is he trying to fight again to close out the year? The Champ stated he would like to but it’s not likely. He’s looking towards January 2021 his next outing.
Ellis beat Alexis Rocha on Oct 30 2020 for the vacant WBC International Silver Welterweight strap. CEO of Brawlers Rick Mohamed asked the champ who does he like this weekend: Crawford Vs Brook? He said Bud gets the W but Brook is a tough customer.
It won’t be a cake walk, but we know Bud could make a fight look oh so easy just when we think he can’t. Also, Ellis chose Errol to get the victory on his return fight Vs Danny Swift Garcia come Dec 5 2020. Ellis says he commends Spence for not taking a tune up fight and stepping up to the plate to fight Garcia.
The champ says he wants whoever he just wants his shot his just dues, if you will. Brawlers will definitely be following the champ going into 2021. Boxing fans who do you think Rashidi “Speedy” Ellis should fight next?.
